Eaton House The Manor Pre-Preparatory School appoints new Head

Mrs Kirsten Bond has been appointed as the new Head of Eaton House The Manor Pre-Preparatory School from September 2025.

Mrs Bond originally joined the schools in January 2002, and was a key member of staff in the Pre-Prep for many years before moving across to the Girls’ School as Deputy Headmistress.

Kirsten is an outstanding teacher; ambitious for the children in her care, championing wellbeing at every turn, and forming positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Under Headmistress Mrs Claire Fildes and Mrs Bond as her second in command, Eaton House The Manor Girls’ School has soared academically with 30 scholarships and awards in 2024. Early results for 2025 are outstanding with a Music Exhibition to St Paul’s School and a Millennium Scholarship to Brighton College in Art, Choral and Sports, among many others. Mrs Bond will bring these same values of support for academic excellence and focus on the talent and wellbeing of each individual boy to the Pre-Prep school.

‘I am delighted and honoured to be offered this role,’ says Mrs Bond. ‘The Pre-Prep is a special place; where learning for life is prioritised through active, fun and engaging lessons that ignite a spark in the boys and makes them excited to come in every day! This prepares the younger boys so brilliantly for transition to the Prep at 8+ and it builds a strong foundation for their future. I am very much looking forward to working with the staff team and the boys once again.’

Mrs Bond is replacing Mr David Wingfield in the Pre-Prep who transitions to Prep Head in September. He will take over from Mrs Sarah Segrave who is leaving to become Headmistress of Sandroyd School in Wiltshire.

Mrs Segrave’s role as Principal will be taken over by a well-known local Headmistress, Mrs Alison Fleming, who is currently Head of Newton Prep in Battersea.
